its sooooooooooooooooo good!!! usually after i leave a movie house all those scary thoughts just come flying out the window, not in this one though. i love it!
i watched a mighty heart last saturday. the movie is very personal and very well done, its raw and intense and if you put yourself in her shoes, just imagine, how can you deal with the grief of losing someone in the most inhumane and terrible way while carrying your unborn child? you cant help but applaud and hug her. its a wonderful film. i enjoyed watching it but if you dont like facts and such you'll be bored as hell. :-
i can't believe i didnt listen to my vg friend when he said i should watch it..it took me a few months but i finally came around and i love it i love it i love it! esp this scene..
i forgot how much i like LOVE edward norton. (not so much the beard)
its my kind of movie, a balance of romance and politics set during the glamorous turn of the century in vienna..oh just perfect!
when it comes to life it's always the simplest things that gives us pleasure
you can't help but notice how russell crowe's charisma illuminates on the screen. i never really paid attention to him until now. his voice is old hollywood like clark gable. i love et.
here's my favorite quote from uncle henry "max, do you know why i enjoy making wine? because this sublime nectar is quite simply incapable of lying. picked too early, picked too late, it matters not. the wine will always whisper into your mouth with complete unabashed honesty everytime you take a sip."
The after effects from watching this movie is somewhat unexplainable, I felt sick for some strange reason. To create a story like this..you must be on some kind of mindtrip. I still dont know if its good. I guess I have to rewatch it again..on DVD!
i love jack nicholson. when he gets into character, he really owns it. its his trademark, no one else can do that. the "dont move til your numb" scene made my heart skip. x.x that seriously tops off the tony montana scene. matt damon is so convincing as the rat that you just want to come in there and break his neck. oh yeah, martin scorsese deserves that fucking oscar.
their drills are so hardcore. i love it. and my god kevin costner, he's so vintage ala bodyguard. his roles are always the same.i kinda love it i kinda hate it, if only ashton didn't smile too much it wouldve been alright.
I know that the subtitles will turn a lot of people off from trying this movie out and that's a shame since i lovelove subtitles.. 5 minutes into the movie and you wont even notice that your reading the dialogue. Finding an original, thought provoking and different type of movies is why I love movies so much. The concept is not mainstream and that's the charm of the movie. I don't know why it took me awhile to watch this movie, it's so good!
So bizarre. So disturbing. So sad. And so incredibily well made. It's a testament to the director's skill that much of the story is told without dialogue. For example, there's a scene where the "heroine" sits with her back to the camera for nearly a minute. No words are spoken, and there's hardly any motion, and yet the scene is still gripping, telling and exciting. The final scene (again, with no dialogue) is like something out of a horror movie. It was almost frightening.
its the harrowing story of an atypical drug-running "mule." Maria Alvarez is a 17 year old girl from Colombia who agrees to smuggle 62 pellets of cocaine into the U.S for a shot at a normal existence for her and her unborn child..
my favoriiiiiiiiiiiiite movie right noooow!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's soooo good.
it's about mischievous childhood friends that live on dares. it's reaaaally good. i was laughing in the first half of the movie and crying towards the end. far more better than amelie..::sniff::
the story begins with what looks suspiciously like pornography: a nude woman pleasuring herself right in front of us. Hang on, folks: you ain't seen nothin' yet. Jean-Claude Brisseau is relatively unknown in the US--understandable (but sad), I suppose, if this movie is typical of his work. From that seemingly pornographic beginning, Brisseau leads us into a study of sex, power, death, male/female roles, love, hate--did I leave something out?--yes, economics, business, even a little religion. His approach to these subjects is both head-on and around, above and below. You can’t take him seriously. But you must. He knows how to tell a great story, keep his movie moving while making it sexy fun and a thoughtful reflection at the same time. He draws wonderful performances from his relatively unknown cast, too. The actors draw you in and keep things so professional--and interesting-- that you follow wherever Brisseau chooses to go. (At one point along the way, you may exclaim, as I did, "This is what 'Eyes Wide Shut' should have been!") I'm giving the movie five stars, basically because I have never seen anything quite like it. And I enjoyed--intelligent dirt wad that I am--every single moment.
A wife, a child, a house … it all seems like too much for a guy who's afraid to grow up! But Carlo (Stefano Accorsi) is not alone. All of his buddies are suffering their own growing pains, and none of them seem ready to settle down without a fight. As the romantic entanglements tighten, this self-centered group of guys struggles to learn the complicated, age-old lessons of life and love.
it's another one of those funny spanish movies. :) i liked it.
In Madrid, two young couples (Ernesto Alterio and Paz Vega, Guillermo Toledo and Natalia Verbeke) are on a quest to find endless happiness together -- if only each of them could decide who it is they want to end up with. As they trade lovers over and over again, they find none of the bliss they were searching for, and a palpable erotic friction begins to grow between them. (taken from netflix)
penelope cruz is fuckin hilarioouuus!!!!!! has anyone of you watched dogma? the storyline is similar but there's a lot of use of different languages, french for the angels and spanish for el diablos. this movie fuckin rocks!!! i lavet!!
okay i admit..i only rented this because i thought the guy is super hot. he is but the acting suck asssss!!!! seriously, they could have done better with a great cast! the movies about interracial relationship..the guy's muslim and the girl's catholic. she's a teacher while he's a DJ. i only finished the movie in hopes that it would get better but unfortunately it did nooot! ugh im so disappointed!
